Chores Bank is made by rom-e technologies. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what a parent can do about it. It is written to be read by a parent, not by a lawyer.
Every field below is entered by the parent, not by the child.
Last names. Birthdays. A child's email address or phone number. Location. Contacts. Health data. Financial or payment data. Browsing history. Advertising identifiers. Diagnostics. None of it — not "we collect it but don't use it". The app never asks.
Chores Bank shows no ads and contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no third-party tracker. Apple defines "tracking" as linking your data with data from other companies for advertising, or selling it to a data broker. We do neither.
The app talks to exactly one server — ours — and to nothing else.
Reminders are scheduled locally by the app on the device itself. There is no push server and no device token leaves the phone or tablet.
Family data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase, our only service provider. Every table is protected by row-level security, so one family's data cannot be read by another even if something else goes wrong. Connections are encrypted in transit.
Proof photos are kept on the device unless a parent is reviewing from a different one, and are deleted on approval.
A child cannot sign up, cannot create a profile, and cannot enter information about themselves beyond marking a chore done. The parent creates every profile and decides what goes in it.
A device becomes a kid device only by entering a one-time code generated on the parent's phone, and leaving kid mode requires the parent's password.
Email legal@rom-etechnologies.com from the address on the account and we will delete your family's data — every parent and kid profile, all chore history, and any stored photo. We aim to complete deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.
Points and banked balances in Chores Bank are a teaching tool. The app does not process payments, does not hold funds, is not connected to any bank or payment network, and cannot transfer money to anyone. What a point is worth is a number a parent sets for their own family, settled between parent and child outside the app.
If this policy changes we will post the new date at the top of this page.
